This is my final update. The map speaks for itself. It includes only the protests that I could fully confirm – but I have also included cities where I had reports of protests, but could not confirm.  A slight difference from the last update is that the protests in Mashhad were larger than first reported to me. New reports establish the number at about 3-5 thousand. Other than that, the numbers across Iran were smaller than Mashhad. Tehran had at the very least 10-15 thousand protesting.

The new Green Brief for today should be out a few hours later. I’m working on it. Apologies for not releasing any Green Briefs in the past three days, but I was busy covering the protests exclusively. Didn’t want to hamper those efforts.

    So reassuring (-:
I was wondering, is’t possible to make the map interactive. So when you move the cursor over a city, it comes up with the YouTube video links for you to watch. Just a thought.

    Cheers and Thanks

  2. In a Symbolic move, and in opposition to Compulsory Hijab, men of the Green Movement should wear head scarves (Masih Alinejad) ـ1287 clicks

In her latest piece, Masih Alinejad has advanced an important idea: “A japanese man who lived in Iran in the early days of the [1979] Revolution, once went to a restaurant with his wife. In the restaurant, they asked his wife to wear a head scarf, and they provided one for her as well. The Japanese man then asked for another scarf and wore that himself. When the waiters explained that Hijab is only for women, not men, he answered with “if my wife is forced to do something against her will, it’s my duty to accompany her on it…!” Just imagine what would have happened if a portion of those opposed to Hijab would have done the same! What would the agents of the government do when they would have seen that men are wearing scarves and veils in a symbolic move? Although I know that the patriarchal sentiments of Iranian men will probably stop them from undertaking such an initiative, but if it does happen, would the agents and news agencies of the Coup Administration still proudly use the mocking pictures of the Islamic garment? an act they have committed only to satisfy themselves? [this piece is about the publication of the pictures of an Iranian student leader who is arrested by the regime thugs and forced to wear women's clothing to humiliate him and to imply that he has escaped in them out of fear]
